Ms Nomusa Napier (she/her)

Nurse Practitioner

Nomusa Napier is an award-winning Nurse Practitioner whose career spans mental health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), primary care, correctional health, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. She holds postgraduate qualifications in public health sciences and mental health nursing, and completed her Master of Nurse Practitioner in 2021.

Nomusa's contribution to the nursing profession has been widely recognised. In 2025 she received the Colleen Blume Excellence in Nursing Award and the Afro-Aussie Trailblazer Award (Victoria), alongside national recognition from Drug and Alcohol Nurses Australasia. That same year, she was presented with the Global Achiever Award at the ZAA Diaspora Forum in Zimbabwe, an honour that reflects the international reach and impact of her work.

As Founder and Director of Trinity Community Services, Nomusa developed deep expertise in ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments, clinical reviews, dual-diagnosis care, and complex treatment planning, working with individuals whose needs often fall through the gaps of conventional health systems.

In her role at The Bendigo Rainbow Hub, Nomusa brings this breadth of clinical experience together with a compassionate, culturally responsive, neuro-affirming, and holistic approach to care. She is deeply committed to LGBTIQA+ affirming practice and to creating safe, inclusive spaces where individuals of all identities and backgrounds feel respected and understood.

Nomusa is passionate about empowering the people she works with to better understand their health, their identity, and their wellbeing, and she brings this passion, together with her clinical rigour and lived commitment to equity, to every aspect of her work at The Bendigo Rainbow Hub.
