Michael is a compassionate and experienced counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals of all backgrounds. He provides a supportive and evidence based, solutions-focused environment for his clients to navigate their unique journeys without judgement in a culturally safe space. He addresses a wide spectrum of client concerns, specialising in working with LBGTIQ+ people, trans and gender diverse or gender questioning young people and their families, and LGBTIQ+ people planning to have children. He also has training in CBT for ADHD and is able to provide ADHD coaching to help manage ADHD with or without medication.
He also specialises in working with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges and anger management; families who are separating, family violence, alcohol and other drug use, mental health specific support.
Drawing from his extensive life experience, Michael has successfully helped individuals manage and tackle various issues they face including social and generalised anxiety, bullying, anger management, relationship issues and stress. His expertise extends to assisting clients with finding appropriate and effective strategies for those who struggle with anxiety. Further supporting with general stress, coping with significant life changes including separation, divorce, and issues with self-confidence, self-esteem, as well helping partners through challenging times.
His approach creates a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore and confront their issues and develop practical solutions, ultimately understanding and regaining control over their lives again.
Michael’s warm, gentle, and direct manner inspires open dialogue, enabling clients to find comfort and healthy solutions in shared experiences. He leverages his lived experience to develop meaningful connections with clients, empowering them to overcome their daily obstacles and challenges.
